June 2004
My old high school was having an all night post-graduation party. It turned out that the DJ who was booked couldn't make it. At the time I had no experience with being a DJ at all, but I took his place using his gear for the night, had a blast, and that's how I got started.
Summer 2004
The same year I bought myself a full mobile system and just like that DJ Entertainment (or simply DJE) was launched. I've played grad parties, formals, and everything in between.

Late 2004
Since starting up my own business I wasn't able to devote as much time to promotions as was really needed and business slowed, so I joined up with Astro Disc Jockeys.
Astro's realm pretty much includes everything but house music. They are the premiere name in Hampton Roads for DJs with PERSONALITY! A wedding/party/bar DJ is (or at least should be) so much more than a jukebox, and that's what an Astro DJ is trained to be...we get the party moving, and keep it going all night long. I'm still with Astro today, playing proms, cruises, bowling alleys, etc. My gigs change every weekend.
August 2005
The debut of the Late Night Dance Radio Show! This is a weekly show hosted by myself and an always changing array of co-hosts and covers all that is Electronic Dance Music. The show focuses on house, but touches on trance and the occasional DnB track. Below is a promotional flyer from year two. The show will come back this fall for year three! The show marked the first time being publicaly known as DJ E-man.

October 2005
House of Blue is launched at Old Dominion University's Webb Center. I was one of two resident DJs. The "club" never really got off the ground, and was closed by April of next year. While there I played on Saturdays doing a house and trance set I called "overdrive". Friday night was hip hop night, I would play the opening set, while the other resident, DJ S_Dot, took it the rest of the night.

November 2006 - NekoCon 2006 with Househeadz United
Three DJs, PyroKryo from Pennsylvania, Flo from Florida, and myself, joined up under the name "Househeadz United" for a DJ set to be played at Nekocon 2006, a large anime convention held annually in Hampton, VA. The gig was insane! 500+ people, everybody was dressed like anime characters, dancing their asses off. It was soo much fun!
You know who was playing this track? ...me!
May 2007

I was initiated into The Flava Fam, a local crew of hip hop DJs, one of which being DJ S_Dot, the other resident DJ from the House of Blue. I haven't been able to make it out to too many events with my current schedule, but I should be hanging with them more in the future. You can typically find the fam at the Peppermint Beach Club on the strip Thursday through Sunday every week. Under the Flava Fam I'm known as DJ E-Roc.
July 2007
The DJ E-man name is being retired in favor of DJ Barry Elliott. I got that E-man nickname when I was very young and it's been hanging with me ever since. I think it's about time to change it up a bit. I also am trying to get a steady night playing around Hampton Roads with Dilusion Entertainment, the biggest name in house music in the Hampton Roads area. Stay tuned for more info on that!

September 2007
Started a residency with SiN Restaurant and Lounge. Sin rocked 5 DJs every night, and was based on clubs in some of the nation's biggest hot spots. This wasn't a bar...this was a club, and I was psyched to play there.
